Considering the shots Acre landed, what did Vasquez in, and caused his dad to throw in the towel was the fact that Vasquez was gassed and in no position to hurt Arce. If you watch the last 15 seconds prior, Arce was missing 95% of the shots he threw. Vasquez got out hustled... Needs to train for 12 rounds and not think he is going to be Tito Trinidad in every fight with the KO.

Nah man, I have no tolerance for ignorance or individuals who think a guy winning a boxing match somehow means more than what it is... A guy winning in a sport. Some people get ignorant and lose sight of reality. Arce winning is a fun 2-day high but it does nothing for poverty or the child prostitution crisis. On Monday life goes on and the poverty-stricken continue to suffer.

To all the non idiots on the board, I was shocked. I seriously thought that Vasquez would be too much for him. Arce is WAYYYY past it, he's a done fighter and he moved up weight to fight him.

Truly a shocker and great fight, Vasquez didn't seem bothered by the stoppage and I can tell you he was taking some really good body shots the whole fight, I think those slowed him down.

It was funny but until we get a Rican doing the Montiel shuffle, or getting KO'd in the first round by ANY mexican (see De Leon) We will be alright.

It's crazy how the smaller older fighter in this fight just took the life outta WV2. I know PRs used this same excuse with Calderon and for what? Arce has been in wars his entire career and proved that Vazquez was nothing more than hype. Call it gassed all you want. The guy was hurt and wasn't in any position to fight back. His punches had nothing. Arce took his heart and ran with it. Cong**** to him.
