The thing is though, is that there is no bigger PAYING fight out there for Bradley to take before or after Khan at the moment. As many on here are quick to point out, Khan is the cash cow in the JWW division. Problem is that some people (and apparently Team Khan) think that drawing power equals being the #1 champion who is entitled to call the shots, which is not true. If Bradley takes this fight for less money, especially given his predicament with Shaw right now, he low balls himself for the future. The most money Tim is going to see for a long while is for the Khan fight BECAUSE OF Khans drawing power (AGAIN, drawing power DOES NOT equal being the best!). No way Tim could fight Maidana or Judah and make better money then fighting Khan, so why should he pass the opportunity by to make the "big" money, for less money against future opponents? Business wise, Bradley knows this.
If Bradley were not already rated #1 and had something to prove then I would agree with what your saying. He does need to prove he can beat Khan, but not at the expense of being low balled in this fight or future fights.
As a fan, I hate the business side of boxing. But since everyone else is doing it (holding out for the best deals), including Team Khan, then why not Bradley? Very few boxers stay on top forever.Comment

You cannot do it when you are the one calling out Khan. In fact, Bradley even claimed Khan was ducking him. He claimed he was going to fight Khan, and then backed out on his word.
And what you makes no sense. If Bradley is offered another fight with Khan, which most likely will not happen, it will be for FAR LESS MONEY. This much is a given. HBO is not going to give Bradley another big money fight after he lost them money previously. Do you think HBO will offer him much money after his next fight, especially since it will be almost assuredly with someone less popular than Khan?
No, Bradley is going to lose HBO money, once again, thereby forcing HBO to offer Bradley even less money, and that idiot will continue to complain about money. And he will forgoe the opportunity to raise his profile by facing Khan.
This is vague and meaningless, but more popular a fighter is the more money he makes. The fighter who makes more money is the one that can walk away the easiest. Its ******ed and hypocritical of Bradley to complain about his low profile when he wastes the opportunity to raise his stock by beating Khan. And he is also wasting a lot of time for someone about to turn 29.Comment

Khan would take Bradley apart and Timothy knows it, that is the reason for the sudden back pedaling, now that a fight is looming on the near horizon. This generation of American fighters is embarrassing, no sack and whiners to boot.Comment

Apparently you didn't read the post I was responding to. He said Bradley should just fight Khan, for basically whatever, now - AND THEN move on to bigger and better things WHERE THE BIGGER PAYDAY WILL COME. I simply stated that he will not make more money fighting someone else later then he will make fighting Khan whenever. As far as I can tell, you're basically saying the same thing I am. But then again, I don't have as low of an opinion about Bradley as you seem to have. Bradley has the right to decide what he wants to do with his career and given the fact that he's in a predicament with Shaw at the moment isn't helping matters. But, bottom line is we haven't even heard from Tim yet (and I'm certain we will) but some people automatically take one fighters side as gospel without hearing from the other. If you think Tim is ducking then you're entitled to your opinion - but it doesn't make you right.Comment
