Comments Thread For: Richardson, Portrait of Zen Leading Up To Pacquiao Fight

LAS VEGAS - There is a quiet dignity that characterizes Naazim Richardson as he grabs a brief moment of respite at the final media engagement Thursday morning before his charge "Sugar" Shane Mosley faces pound for pound kingpin Manny Pacquiao Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Naazim is one of the best, if not the best game planner. If Mosley is able to be competitive or even win against Pacquiao, he should get a lot of the credit because this version of Mosley cannot come close to beating Pacquiao without a good/great game plan.

Boxing insiders (writers, managers, fighters, etc.) will note the difference (which will increase his clientele), but will the "fans"?

That might be too much to ask for though... (Thread titles would be "I Told Y'all Pac Was Overrated" - "LMAO @ People Thinking Pacquiao could have beaten Mayweather" - "Mosley beat Pacquiao By Punching Little Foam Pool Sticks LOL").

Naazim is nothing. He's good for the media but has accomplished next to nothing.

every boxing city has a million guys like this walking around, he's just lucky because HBO put a camera in his face.

theres a million guys in west baltimore alone walking around trying to do the little character he does. the wise old ******, educated in the school of hard knocks who feels equally comfortable talking in depth boxing or rehashing a bunch of **** he heard on the audiobook of Sun Tzu's the Art of War.

He masquerades as both a sportsman and an intellectual, and I assure you he is neither

these people are not intelligent and they are not anything special, if they impress you than you must have never met anyone from the streets before
