I think it takes some one with a big punch out put to keep mayweather on the defense. Who isnt scared to take a punch in order to land 2 or 3. If you try to box mayweather you will loose.

He won 9 rounds on all the scorecards, 2 of which were because Cotto just peppered his jab for round 10 and 11, in 12th he obviously went for the KO and the first shot put him on his ass. Cotto's power isn't going to carry over to 154 like it did at 140 or 147 these guys are much bigger than most WW's, so just stop.

Miguel needs to go back down to 147 where he's his best at I think. He didn't look good at all against Mayorga. That was too close for comfort in my mind. Hopefully Margarito's eye is alright or Chavez loses in his next fight. This is a terrible idea. I understand Cotto's desire for the first Rican to ever win 4 titles but this is ridiculous.

Mayweather needs somebody to comeback against so why not Cotto who's a solid name since everybody wants to thing it's going to be so damn easy? Cotto SHOULDN'T FIGHT CHAVEZ! Thats a terrible idea. At 154 he beats Chavez but at 160 I just think all of his power will be gone.

No it doesn't. Miguel Cotto is a B fighter, and always has been. He's one of the best B fighters out there though. In his prime, he was dangerous to all other B fighters, don't know how he lost to a C level fighter. It's like Vegeta losing to Goku. Goku's heart and will won him there fights even though he was a low level saiyan and Vegeta an elite saiyan.

Any fight with any decent up and comer/undefeated guy, vs Floyd, needs to happen. It has been like that for a while now. It happened with Harris, it happened with Cotto, it happened with Hatton, Corrales, Casamayor, Floyd wanted it with an undefeated Mosley back in the day. It's always been like that. Fact is, Floyd and any other fighter, is going ot fight the fights that bring them the most money and is the most convenient to make. A Mayweather vs a Top Rank fighter was not easy to make, is not an easy fight to make, and it never will be an easy fight to make. And when I say not easy, I mean it's impossible unless Mayweather joins Top Rank again, which is once again, impossible.

Cotto is a dead man walking when talking about a potential fight with Floyd Mayweather.. Seriously, I am really oppose to this fight. There is no argument I will accept or want to hear as to why this fight should happen.

No Real Mayweather fan "IMO" should want this fight.
With Mayweather fighting in his last days of his career, I do not want to see him fight the likes of Miguel Cotto when he should be focusing on trying to make a Manny Pacquiao fight happen.
The only top rank fighter I want to see Mayweather fight is Manny Pacquiao.. the rest of those guys is worthless when talking about a potential match-up with Mayweather,

*****s don't want Floyd to fight Cotto because deep down they know Floyd can lose, its the reason Floyd ducked him in the first place. Its been like that with every fighter Floyd hasn't faced thats been in or around his division. If Floyd didn't fight it means you could have beat him, its Floyd way of showing them respect is all.
