actually it is 5 reasons.
the best of the rest:
1. donald trump: if he managed tyson he would have made sure tyson was in better shape.
2. the long count: the referee counted too slow, which allowed douglass to recover from the knockdown in the 8th.
top five reasons:
5) the death of cus d'amato: if he stayed alive, tyson would have been more prepared for douglass.
4) robyn givens: she was a gold-digger that ruined tyson after their divorce.
3) inexperienced cornermen: the handlers did poorly during the fight in trying to seal the closing left eye of tyson.
2) overrated: tyson, like everyone else began to believe in his own invincibility, and went into the douglass fight unprepared.
AND NUMBER ONE:
1) BUSTER DOUGLASS: he fought the perfect fight. also his mother died, which made him train harder than he ever did before, and that was his finest moment of his career!
