Surely they can a find a better more competitive fight for Marquez on July 2. I know nothing is confirmed, and hopefully it stays that way.
Diaz presents no threats to Marquez, and Marquez just dosent need easy fights like this. He's wasting his time here.
Diaz in his last fight could on beat 27-9 Robert Frankel on Majority Decision. He could only beat a shot Jesus Chavez on a Majority Decision also.
Humberto Soto clealry bested him last year, in 2008 Manny Pacquiao took him apart, and the fight before Pacquiao he could only beat unkown Ramon Montano on a Majority Decision.
This would just be a pretty pointless and easy win for Marquez. Surely they can find a better more competitive fight. That the fans can show real interest in.
Marquez should fight Zab Judah on July 2. And bid to become the first Mexican to win a 4th world title. Or how about a LW superfight with Robert Guerrero?
