Comments Thread For: Zab Judah: I'm Ready To Fight Marquez, But Not in Mexico

IBF junior welterweight champion Zab Judah advised BoxingScene.com that he is ready to face Juan Manuel Marquez in July. During a recent interview, Marquez discussed his desire to return to action in the month of July at 140-pounds. Marquez wants an interim-fight before facing Manny Pacquiao in a possible fall trilogy.

This is a smart move by Judah. Don't give that piss drinker that home court advantage when your the one with the title at 140.

      His...what?

A smart move on his part, I suppose. Let's hope the fight happens, and is a good one.

I have a feeling that Zab will beat JMM I don't know why..But I feel like Zab's style is all wrong for JMM..JMM never looks good as the pressure fighter..If Zab get's JMM to come to him it will be a long night for JMM..

Marquez is a legend, willing to fight everyone but he needs a tune up before Judah, and Judah is a good boxer to match yourself against when your looking to face manny, but we ain't got time for tune ups, Get in the ring in jersey Marquez, one so I can go and two no one trying to go to Mexico. I have said this from the beginning, Judah is too fast and too strong, his defense looks superb, Marquez will miss a lot and Judah may be the first to stop Marquez.

Not fighting in Mexico is fine as long as it's not on H.B.O. Mexicans get robbed on H.B.O. like in the De La Hoya-Trinidad, De La Hoya-Mosely II, Marquez-Pacquiao II, JL Castillo-Mayweather fights among others.

I agree, I know it's been a lil too soon to really divulge into Judah looking like a different fighter, but his fight with Mabuza, he look remarkably hard to hit and PATIENT which is something we havent seen for an entire fight from Judah before. Whatever Pernell is doing with him does seem to be working, and thats what Judah has always need IMO was someone in his corner that he really respected as a man not just a father figure but someone he can follow directions from cuz he never seemed able to with his Pops in his corner......Good Post
