That's a low bond. And it's a misdemeanor, not a felony. Sounds like it's probably minor. I'm not familiar with Florida/Dade county laws. In some parts of the US, the laws concerning domestic violence are heavily geared towards protecting the woman. The charge is battery, so some sort of physical contact is alleged. If Lara really did anything at all, something as little as a shove might've landed him in jail.
