Berto will be fine. If Floyd doesnt fight Ortiz there should be a rematch.

now that he is no longer a champion hopefully he doesn't fight bum or fighters which will never push like freddy hernandez. atleast fight someone like soto karass.
but he deserve the rematch down the road.

IDK I was never real interested in the guy but I read that he may be fighting Jan Zaveck.

Could be a good fight,I never liked Berto and I'm still not high on him..But like Alexander(who I never was big on)I want to see if he improves..Fighters with talent but no work ethics to back it up..I'm very interested to see if he(and Alexander)can improve..

What I see happening next with Berto is one or two easy fights to build his confidence. I would imagine he takes on a higher caliber fighter after and takes his second loss.

His confidence seemed to be shattered after the loss, which is understandable, however his comments after hint to me, that he's gonna have a hard time bouncing back. That my opinion anyway.

Berto is a good fighter, he lost a decision in an exciting fight to another good fighter. Ortiz was the better fighter. It's boxing, stuff like this happens all the time, it's not the end of the world. For those saying Berto never rematched Collazo, were you saying this when Manny never rematched, Torrecampo or Singsurat but then he deserved a rematch against Morales? How about Khan, when will he rematch Presscot? Oh Presscott is irrelevant? What has Collazo done since his loss to Berto. It goes every way, stop being biased and start treating fighters the same way. You don't like Berto, okay, good for you, doesn't mean you have to be a hypocrite.

And next for Berto I wish would be a rematch with Ortiz but Ortiz already spoke and said he's not giving Maidana or Berto a rematch and that he's on the level of Mayweather and Pacquiao. So Berto should fight any other top 10 WW.

You right here,Ortiz has become Berto's successor as far as not wanting to prove anything at the weight..I have heard nothing to suggest that Ortiz wants to challenge himself against other young talent in the Div..He is jumping to May's and Pac's..But not mentioning Jones,Maidana(who owns his heart and soul)or Karass a nice test for anybody in the top ten imo..I don't like Berto I never did I don't think much of him as a fighter and always thought he was nothing more then a hype job..I really hope Ortiz is willing to earn his bones and dose not make the same foolish mistakes that Berto made..
