Was Fraizer really ****** in his second fight with Ali?
One thing I keep hearing from non-boxer in other sites and forums is that Fraizer was ****** in his second fight. Reason why they called Fraizer ****** was that according to them, Fraizer was fighting like an idiot, constantly chasing Ali around the ring and falling for Ali's hit-run attack strategy. These same people like to state what Fraizer should have done.Commonly I hear them say instead of chasin Ali around the ring, Fraizer should have stayed on the defensive and wait for Ali to come close and knock him out with his power. Other things I hear on what should have been done is that Fraizer should have used Ali's plan against him, tricking Ali to trap himself in the corner as he moves around the ring from Fraizer;then Fraizer should quickly knocked out Ali once he conerered him.
What do you think?I personally think these non-boxer armchair critics fail to realize how hard it is to execute a plan alone,Furthermore they fail to realize its extremely hard to stay static in one position and use counter-punching strategy to knock out a guy with as long reach and speed as Ali(aided by the his slipepry footwork). They also fail to realize the difficulty of trying to corner someone who is quick in footwork movement around the ring, let alone an opponent as quick as Ali.I think these people should study the basic of boxing before making such criticism that ignores the fundamentals of boxing.
