Why I Think Mosley Has A Real Chance

I think the most likely scenario is a competitive first half with some rock moments for Pac, and then his pace to wear Shane down to like a 9-3/10-2 type decision or maybe a corner stoppage late in the fight.
But I do think Shane has a chance...and more of a chance than the proverbial punchers chance.
Shane doesn't get discouraged by getting hit the guy has as good of a chin as I've ever seen, he gets discouraged by not being able to hit his opponent.
And mad props to everyone in this thread. I don't post too much anymore, but it's great to have some real quality discussion with you clowns.Comment

against bigger opposition, i think pac's footwork makes his d above average if he wants it to be.....
now, this is against the comp he's faced, of which floyd IS NOT one. floyd is a sharpshooter, manny's d has improved greatly against dudes throwing combos at him or that are waiting for him. floyd=different ballgame. shane- not so much.
It is a different fight but some of the reasons I like Floyd I think Mosley can do a bit of and if Manny is not careful he will find himself with a confident Mosley who is a much more dangerous guy.
That said Manny could wreck Mosley, he could have the tools to make it a fairly easy night I am just not sure of it.Comment

yea, this is a good thread savor, the nsb ****roaches have stayed out of it for the most part.
from what I gather, consensus is that shane will be competitive for thw first half....
my thing is that I believe that shane doesn't want it like that anymore. 2 crappy showings in a row. his talk makes me think that he believes his only chance is to land something early...i know that's not naz's plan and all, but i just don't think he's tha same guy that will fight to the end like against forrest.
the one thing that's not being talked about in this fight is naz's gamplanning. if shane's gonna have a chance I think its gonna be that naz comes up with a gameplan that we don't see right now, which is entirely possible.......
if shane keeps doing what he's done his last 4 fights, he's gonna get blown out imo. stopped by 8Comment

Boy Boy Boy, I see Pacquiao with another win, and no i don't see Mosley as a threat, take it as a complement to Pacquiao.
I think Mosley is still dangerous, but only against anyone but the top 3. He could easily KO or beat any guys besides Martinez, Mayweather, Pacquiao, and really not Cotto and Mora after all.
So yea, I'd say Mosley should be fighting JMM or Judah or sorts.Comment

Mosley has a shot, albeit a long shot but a shot none the less. Pac is not going to slug it out with Mosley though, he is going to be moving around a bunch and countering Shane as he tries to close the gap. Once Pac turns up the heat, I think Mosley will not fire back like some people believe, he will clam up and try to clinch because he won't be able to plan an attack.Comment

When I saw the 3rd episode it looked like Mosley is slow with his punches. Is it just me?
Mosley sure have a good chance, if Pacquiao gets caught with that right hook, but I think Pac will check Shane for the first three rounds or four on how Shane will react, like he did in the Cotto fight. Then Pac will start releasing those nasty combos and Shane will not answer.Comment

First 2 rounds, really no big contact.
3rd round, Mosley lands a big shot, Pacquiao slaps his gloves together and hits Mosley maybe 3-4 times in a few seconds.
4th round, Mosley starts to do that shaking, twitching movement, which doesn't work because he's to old.
5th round, Mosley is finally floored.
And I dunno know about anything after that, all I know is that, it's going to be a asswhopping for Mosley.
I wish Pacquiao would have fought Martinez, if he fought and beat Martinez, I don't think there could be anything that Mayweather could do to ever surpass him, even Mayweather beating Pacquiao wouldn't rank him as high.
Until then, Martinez is P4P.Comment
