Why I Think Mosley Has A Real Chance

I found myself thinking in a very similar way before Mosley fought Margarito...and just like then, I don't have the balls to pick Mosley as I think the most likely scenario is Pac just out working him.

However....there are a few things....

Mosley is freaking bomb proof. Is there a harder guy to hurt in the sport? When you can take a punch like he can, you are always in the fight.

Mosley will have some success....lets not fool ourselves here. The reason Mosley got so discouraged against Mayweather and looked so bad is because he couldn't land, not cause he was getting hit. Against Pac, yea he's gonna get hit a lot, but he's gonna land enough to not get discouraged. And a Mosley with any semblance of confidence is going be dangerous throught the whole fight.

Mosley can punch, and like I said, he won't get too discouraged which makes him dangerous. Pac has proved he can take a good shot at this weight which is why I'm still picking him but I really do think Mosley is getting criminally underrated. People have been predicting Mosley to finally get stopped for years and it just hasn't happened yet. He hasn't been so much as buzzed since the first Forrest fight.

If Pac stops Mosley.....and I mean stops as in hurts, not overwhelms him to where ****m stops the fight.......he deserves MAJOR props, I don't care how shot people think Mosley is.

That's a good assessment. At this point he has nothing to lose and the title to gain. He's been savoring this moment for the longest. Problem with his last fight is he had to chase Mora around the ring the whole time. Manny will be stopping and firing back.

Shane's fightin 2 opponents: Pac and Father time. Pac is a beast and the other guy is undefeated. It aint lookin good for Shane.

The 2nd half of the Mayweather fight is still fresh on my mind, where Floyd brought the heat and Mosley wanted none of it by excessively clinching. Margarito at the very least was willing to walk through Pacquiao's punches and honestly, Mosley isn't that kind of guy, at least not anymore.

If Mosley can land his right at will and smothers Manny after he lands it he could have a lot of success.

I just don't know if that is enough to hold off Manny, if Mosley is throwing those right hands like Zues throwing lightning bolts again it is possible but that may not be enough to keep Manny from getting his.

If Mosley had a real jab I think he could play the big man role and give Manny hell but with just the right hand I think Manny will eventually solve the puzzle.

I have always found the fight fairly interesting much more interesting than most though.

if Mosley showed he can maintain a good level of stamina all fight, id give him a good chance. but since hes so old, he cant maintain much stamina or the same energy output enough to make a difference sadly.

what i said about mosleys chances coming into the floyd fight were exactly what he was doing in round 1-2, keep a high energy output for all 12 rounds, using his jab alot and following it up with right hands with a body attack. after round 2, he was fatiguing and lost.

so i see mosley slowing down in the pac fight due to a high pace, sadly the floyd and pac fight mosley is in would be a different result in his prime.

I would give him props for stopping Shane, not major props though. That's the very least Pacquiao can do. Then again, I'm honestly expecting him to stop Shane. Also, this could very well be Shane's last fight, 2 bad showings and then a serious beating on the way? Yeah...

That's a far cry from this. When Pac brings heat, it will be in exchanges and that can fuel Mosley. I honestly believe in what Shane says about the styles of Floyd and Mora...he gets discouraged.

When he lands flush on Pac a few times, I think it'll spur him on a bit.

Again, not saying I think Shane is going to beat Pac...def not saying that. I just think it's feasible.

Hopefully Shane doesn't loop the right hand too much, he should throw it straight down the middle, sort of like he did against Collazo. Still, I didn't even think the monster that showed up against Margarito would have beaten Pacquiao. Anyway we'll see

Mosley's got a solid chin. He needs supreme conditioning and a solid jab to put a dent on the Pac train.
