indeed it is all BS, especially with the way Golden Boy keeps changing their stance to fit their agenda.

the simple fact is that in spite of all his skills and the fact that he may very well be one of the best or maybe even the best defensive fighter out there, floyd simply doesn't want to fight Pac.

the only issue pac had were the blood tests. blood tests which were in fact:

1. rejected by golden boy themselves.
2. IS medically unsafe if taken so close to the fight.
3. HAS a questionable track record. (they caught what, 3 cheaters out of the HUNDREDS they've been testing all these years!?!?)
4. it tests for HGH, the benefits of which for boxers is HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE.

It is the best they have, and OST are designed as much to prevent cheating as to catch cheaters. Although they do hold the blood so they can go back and test later for things that would not be currently testable for.

The GBP thing is what it is, they will be on whatever side the guy they are representing is on as better testing doesn't benefit them because they don't want their guys getting caught up. One of the main reason boxing is messed up in the rules and regulation department is that no one benefits from fights that don't happen and better drug testing makes fight that would be happening not happen and worse yet sullies guys names so you can't use them again.


USADA are suppose to be experts on doping and how athletes perform, so I trust them to not mess up an athlete terribly just because and looking at how they handled Floyd-Mosley I don't think they would really have that much effect.

That is the main reason I never got on Floyd for pressing for it, sure you could fault his reasoning but if he felt that way (right or wrong) no one was going to press for it but him. Now if you feel that way before enough to ask for testing and then a guy flips out over the testing demand that is not going to make a guy want to soften his stance especially after he did soften his stance and had it thrown in his face anyway.


There is certainly enough blame to go around though.

first negotiations floyd wanted 14 days and manny agreed to 18 i believe. ok so 4 days off of floyds first demands and he doesnt accept. why not? its called a negotiation.. not give you everything you want. so 4 days more than 14 is better than the 30 days pacs team wanted at first and its way more testing than the regular nsac testing.
second negotiations, floyd wants 0 and manny agrees to 7 days within (accodring to koncz) and manny stated he would do it up to 0 or between rounds. lets just say its 7 for floyd fans(but still manny said 0 days), but my point is, you aint doin **** in 7 days before a megafight and wont even benefit from peds within only a week timespan when youre not even training hard and there would be no point to take it only for 7 days prior before the fight... it makes no sense.. so 7 days or 0 it wouldnt matter. youre not gonna benefit from 7 days of ped use. and the second time around floyd is gonna make it even harder to make the fight happen? so manny agreed to..(lets say 7 days), which is 7 days more than what you asked for the first time of 14. floyds shook plain and simple. quit making up excuses.
