Seriously bro. Fat guys are easy breakfast for a technician like Marquez. Alvarez is really overhyped. I mean, that guy has all power and no movement, no speed. That's why Hatton was a prettyboy at the end. When in reality, Hatton should've been f*#ked up, if Alvaraez was all that. Alvarez may not get knocked out, but he'll definitely get outpointed & outclassed. Alvarez to me, is Marquez's Antonio Margarito.

PS. I predicted Morales to have a damn good shot at Maidana when everyone else crossed out Morales to have no shot at all. In the end, if Morales continued fighting at rounds 11 & 12, he could've won. I say the same bold statement here in Marquez bigtime outclassing the slow footed Alvarez.

    A 135er against a struggling Welter?

I hope JMM accepts the fight & destroy GBP's future cash cow, so his stardom will be more of an interest when he fights Pac.

Why would jmm, who has been been begging PAC to get into the ring with him since 2008, go fight Alvarez instead.

Both parties know that jmm is going to accept arums offer, that's why theyre being sarcastic.
Well, let's not give JMM that much credit here...
He did, afterall, fight Chris John for chump-change instead of rematching Manny for $750k... And lost, lol.

Who would you rather see him fight? Andre "the overhyped" Berto? Ortiz? Bradley? I don't see any other competition. Seriously man. I don't see any young fighters out there hanging with the Pacman in the ring.

Don't worry Pac says he'll fight 6 more times. So after Mosley, Jmm, and hopefully Mayweather, then you get 3 more lucky rookies. Just be patient. There's nothing wrong with taking a tune-up fight.

You actually think Bob Arum will get crippled in this Alvarez vs Marquez fight? Actually it will make Bob look more of a genius, and GBP an a$$ big time.

Dude, I'd like to see this match go through. Marquez has no sweat fighting the big overhyped, sitting duck Alvarez, even at 147. Hatton would've been killed by Marquez @147. Enough said.

Whatever Oscar and Schaefer have been smoking at GBP headquarters they need to pass it my way. Canelo has been making his name off blown up, underachieving jr. welters N'Dou/Hatton/Cotto and an old a$$ Baldo. Now they want him to fight a lightweight? A LIGHTWEIGHT? Isn't a gimme title @ 150, oops he couldn't make weight, @ 154 enough? Canelo needs to find a way to get past Rhodes first, than pick on lightweights. Does anyone remember Juan Diaz? Yeah the young promising GBP fighter that Jmm sent back to college. Maybe he can tutor Canelo next.
