There are several offers before him, including a trilogy clash with Manny Pacquiao in the fall, a title shot at IBF junior welterweight champion Zab Judah in July, and BoxingScene.com broke a bombshell on Monday when Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer said he was willing to match Saul "Canelo" Alvarez with Marquez.

Can't believe Marquez took Schaefer's offer seriously. He's most likely fighting Manny. Would be fun if it were at Azteca stadium. He wouldn't have to worry about a robbery then, and it might slightly make up for the weight disadvantage.

lol...now thats a funny response,but a don't think marquez can compete very well above 140,but who knows,he did very well against pac,i think he won the fights as do many,he just was more competitive against pac than cotto,marg,clottey,oscar,that shows how good marquez is as a boxer,but above 140 it will get harder for him to compete

with the above comment, add the fact that marquez did say he "will fight pac at any weight no problem"... now this article is saying marquez wants to tweak the contract weight to a 144 catchweight,...then at the same time, he is willing to do 147 catchweight against canelo if that fight is made...i mean, WTF? if u say anyweight against pac is no problem, but then turn around and say 144 against pac, and 147 for canelo...hmmm, if u can do 147 for canelo, why even tweak and bother a catchweight for pac? FAWKING MR INCONSISTANCE
