Great article Tom - I guess those with the negative comments are just used to the tidbit internet reporting that's usually on this site as opposed to someone writing something with a narrative that's actually worth reading.
Mosley is a warrior - we all love that about him. But my man's speech has been deteriorating the last few years and once that starts, it doesn't stop. He's given us plenty of wars and plenty to cheer about and yeah he might be able to to pull one more rabbit out of the hat - but like you - I don't see that as a likely outcome. Pacman is going to put more leather on him than any other fighter he's faced. He'll be lucky to see the final bell.Comment

It was a nice narrative describing boxing and how it portrays to all a great fighters in the twilight of their career. Only thing I hate is how people talk about Shane's losses but don't respect the fact he took on the biggest challenges the same thing we ridicule other fighters for not doing including Manny..... Shane fought the best at their best not when they were clearly on the downside of their carreer. Manny ducked Shane for a good 3 to 4 yrs before he's now decided it's time to fight him and we glorify this kind of conduct because we talk about Manny's wins instead of who he fought and clearly ducted. Zaheer Rahim, Corrales, Freitas and Casamayor but he fought a faded Morales, David Diaz I wont say De la Hoya because Hoya called out Manny even though he was weight drained.Comment

Thomas Gerbasi - you are one of the worst examples of Journalism, PERIOD. Once again , styles make the fights, NOT the last Opponent faced. Your Self Decieved Mr. Gerbasi, you cant be a loyalist, while not giving what you say your loyal to ; a chance to win, YOUR pathetic Argument is Based off of 2Failed Principles: #1: Shane Mosely is 39, yet he wouldnt be the 1st person of that age to overcome a Younger fighter, would he?(George Forman/Hopkins, etc).....Epic Fail #2: your basing this off of a the Last 2 performances, GO BACK and watch the Fight Closely between Mosley and Mayweather, YES Mayweather won the Fight relatively easy, but in know way was Mosley Not Fighting Back, or was he in any DANGER of being STOPPED, had it not been for the "STYLE" of a Mayweather, Mosley had more than enough SKILL to Win against Top Flight Competition, Pacman is NOT that Tall, He doesnt use his JAB in the same vein as a Mayweather, Pacman Does NOT have the Same Movements or Rythym as Mayweather, SOooo! therefore its IMPOSSIBLE 4 Manny to BE ABLE 2 Control Mosley in the same Fashion, Manny can only be Manny. Now if you HAVE a Brain and use it, you would see this, but if your Ignorant and a Crafty Liar, then you end up Writing the BS, you just Wrote. LOL now lets talk about the Latin Snake Sergio Mora: #1 Mora fights mostly at 160, #2 Sergio is a Tall Fighter, lol, with Long arms, which equals LONG REACH, lol, #3, its know secret that Mosley has been Bested by Tall fighters with Good Boxing Skills, outside of Mayweather(the Best Pure Boxer on the PLANET) and Cotto(Great Jab, utilizes it very well) Mosley has had Trouble with these type of fighters, Forrest, Winky, Mora, ....Manny is NONE OF THOSE, he has a DIFFERENT SKILL SET, he has NONE of those Advantages over Mosley, Weight, Height, and REACH, once again, MANNY does NOT have the WEIGHT, HEIGHT, and REACH advantages in this Matchup, yet those are the MAIN ATTRIBUTES that gave those fighters the edge and Win over Mosley. So my question becomes... WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT Mr. Gerbasi? ??? Hmmm, I dont think you know, and Then why are you writing about BOXING, cause your OFF base totally and OUT OF Touch with the REALITY of the Situation. when and if Mosley wins this fight, what are you gonna say then? ???, youve left yourself with know wiggle room, Mosley has know chance? NONE? complete short term thinking and Hyperbole at its worst!!!
