Was Montiel overated?

His record looks very good on paper, but who did he really beat?? His best wins are Hasegawa, Gorres, Hernandez and Maldonado. Of those 4, only Hasegawa can be considered elite. He lost to Gonzalez and clearly. I dunno what fight that judge that scored it for Montiel was watching, cos Jhonny thoroughly beat him.

That, along with his over-activity in 2010, is the reason I don't consider Donaire a top 5 p4p guy yet. Was that ko impressive? Sure as hell. But let me see Donaire ko Agbeko or Moreno the same way, then I'll put him at top 5! Or lemme see him ko Darchinyan again. Won't happen.

you also forgot castillo. Castillo was a great fighter in his prime he also beat mayweather in the amatures. And no he isnt just that donaire is something especial.
