from what I understand is that one of his parents is french yes, but don't know which one.... Thats why they call him "El Frances" he has that french last name so it should be his dad is french i'm guessing....

Dude I dont think Canelo is all that good the only reason he is so well known is because he generates so much $$$$ from 30+ million watching his fights and selling tons of tickets but when he gets inside those ropes I dont know if I see anything still that special. I think he is a great fighter but I think Benavidez Jr., Thomas Dulorme, and Gilberto Ramirez all look better.
