Mayweather tipped to attend Pacquiao v Mosley

“Money” set for ringside seat at “Pacman” fight

The rumours coming out of the Floyd Mayweather camp is that the five-weight world champion is likely to travel the short distance from his home to the MGM Grand on Saturday night, to get a close up view of his possible future opponent Manny Pacquiao.

The 34 year-old has long been linked with a mega-fight with the WBO welterweight champion, who takes on Mayweather’s last opponent “Sugar” Shane Mosley on May 7th. The “Pretty Boy” had no trouble dispatching the aging legend and apart from a shaky second round moment, won every session against the Californian.

Mayweather (41-0, 25 KO’s) has been out of the ring over a year now and has been moved down to number three in the pound for pound rankings. His uncle Roger recently declared that his nephew is ready to return to the ring and will do so sometime in the next couple of months.

His next outing though, is set to be a scouting mission against the seven-weight world champion, who has looked unbeatable for over six years. Mayweather attended Victor Ortiz’s crowning night against Andre Berto in Connecticut a couple of weeks ago, where he was roundly booed by the pro-Pacquaio crowd and the only thing that could stop the boo’s is if he signs to fight the Filipino Congressman in the near future.

I doubt very seriously that Floyd will show up at that fight. If he was booed the way he was at the Berto/Ortiz fight, imagine the shelacking he would get at a Pac fight. IMO, he doesn't go near that fight. I wouldn't be surprised if, when asked if hes "seen" the Pac/Mosely fight, he states that he hasn't even watched it yet.

Floyd Mayweather has too much pride to take on the negative feedback he would get if he stepped foot in to that arena. I'd love to be wrong though, and see him have the cojones to step up into the ring during the post fight interviews and confront Pacquiao face to face. Not only would that be epic, but it would be a CLEAR sign he's ready to get it on. That would be perfect for the pre-fight build up for the most highly anticipated fight of this era.

But, as I said, I doubt that happens. Especially since he has no idea how his current legal battles are going to play out, so he can't possibly say for sure that he's ready to "get it on" until after that's all cleared up.

Maybe Floyd can cheer for Pacquiao again like when he did when Pacquiao fought Morales or maybe he will get petrified and retire again.

Not a chance. He would go deaf with the boos. As much as Floyd likes to
play the villain it's clear that he is an insecure mofo. He'd lose it if he hears the boos from his adopted hometown.

Ignore is a great tool on this site.

If it was for sure PBF would show up I might be tempted to actually buy this bull**** fight. Just to see if PBF puts Manny on the spot about the tests or if somebody from Manny's camp put PBF on the spot about agreeing to testing and having it in the contract.
