I'm suprized you had to ask.

In terms of the amount of hype vs actual deserved recognition, the Klitschkos are BY FAR the most over hyped fighters on this site.

The core of their fan base is out right deluded.

For a guy who's biggest career wins are Larry Donald and Corrie Sanders and his brother who's been beaten by 3 very average fighters, these guys get acclaim like they're Hall of Famers, which they are FAR FROM at this point.

      Absolutely. Well put.

and his brother who's been beaten by 3 very average fighters, .
Looks unimpressive yes. Keep in mind though......

Lennox lost by knockout to 2 average fighters. He avenged both losses by decisive stoppage. Giving Wlad the benefit of the doubt I believe he would avenge them. He was definitely not proactive in getting rematches yes.

We will have to see what he has left on saturday. I am confident he will get past peter, but you have a point in his legacy is tarnished unless he beats Brewster and Sanders.

However convoluted the division is.....I think he is a threat.

I might go overboard sometimes because I am a fan of his.

Vitali on the other hand is a bandwagon fighter IMO.

But he hasn't avenged his losses, and hasn't redeemed himself... yet.

I think he's got potential and I honestly have nothing agaisnt him or his brother, but in regards to the question posed in the title of this thread,

Wlad AND Vitali fans (the fanatical ones) take the cake.

These guys are nowhere near deserving of the massive amount of stubborn and deluded hype surrounding them.

People tend to go overboard with the hype. Definitely.

Most want to make them out to be the "person to beat" in the division. That is unnaceptable.

I personally am fine with Wladimir assuming the role as gatekeeper in the division. If he gets past Peter, I think he should fight Brock. That would make 3 undefeated prospects in a row.....because I am very confident he would make short work of Calvin.

Many unanswered questions regarding this situation.

Vitali fans annoy me to say the least. Not as much as Taylor fans.....but enough.

                  Ode to the hype

I like Pac but he's got the most ridiculous fan base. They really love him and that's all well and good so In my opinion no other fan base comes close to their level of fanaticism. I hear he's a movie star at home and that may have something to do with it.

He's an entertaining fighter, no doubt. Tons of heart so I won't take anything away from him as this thread is about fans rather than boxers. I selected his fans only because some of the threads posted on this site demonstrate a strong inability by fans to listen to the slightest criticism.

2nd place would be the recent Taylor fans. Seems like many are just hating Hopkins far more than they are supporting Taylor.

3rd place would go to Iron Mike fans. Still fantasizing about a come back and capturing a belt one day. Gimme a break already. He's cooked, stick a fork in him.

                  Peace to all.

                  RIP L.Johnson.

Whoever made this thread is a ****ing cow and a big dumbass fool. Whoever heard of a creature who posts threads which attack fans in a boxing forum. Point of discussion must be boxers dummy! lol!

This is just a clear sign of ******ity. Whining and all.

As for the fans. The most ignorant and most in denial are the MAB fans. lol!

I'm also a Mosley fan, so your not along. I think on this board, I have to go with the Mexican fans, they are the most biased fan on this site.
