As a tyson fan i hope mcbride wins and which might urge tyson to come out of retirement and knock his fat ass out , but I seriously doubt tyson will do that tysons hates boxing at the moment and would probably rather walk through broken glass than ever fight in a professional boxing match again .

In many ways this is a freak show title fight but does have some charm. Such are the skills of both fighters, anything could happen in this fight. So, is it good or bad this fight may happen?
This will be a TERRIBLE FIGHT!!!

            ^^This needs to be repeated.

Why should McBride get anything for knocking out an ancient Tyson? The fight was abysmal, which was particularly noticeable when watching the Casamayor/Cotto fights on the same night, side by side.

If McBride should get anything it is a step up in competition. You know, someone who is in the top 20/30. He's coming from 165 up to number one contender? How about Ruiz fights someone, ANYONE who is considered a legit opponent?

This is Danny Williams all over again. Boxing "experts" were picking Williams against VKlit. Go back and read that last sentence again. People are still fooled that the Tyson of last year was a contender and now anyone who "conquers" him gets a title shot.

Although I largely agree with the sentiment, there was still a marked difference between 2004 Tyson and 2005 McBride... just as there's a HUGE difference between Danny Williams (someone who could conceivably be a contender and maybe beat some belt holders, but someone who shouldn't have gone NEAR Vitali Klitschko) and McBride (who's a crock of ****).

But the difference in Tyson's rep is marked by how much they stepped up... beat Tyson last year you get Vitali. Beat him this year, you get Ruiz.
