From what I understand, Cortez was given a house, and who knows what else, to move and ref fights in Nevada. If this is true, he has a visible interest in having the long money fighter win the fight, everybody bets on a guy and he loses, keeping the money in town, and maybe he is just a clumsy ref.

The only thing that I have a bit of an issue with is that there will be 2 Ricans in the ring that night & one Mexican. How or why would the morons at the NSAC chose a Rican ref to ref a fight between a Mexican & a Rican. Just doesn't seem fair in my opinion.

last good thing cortez ever did was let jmm continue in the 1st pac/jmm fight.
he has ****** in many many other fights after that, this dude shouldn't be reffing any major fights anymore. he should be retired and working on his fair but firm website...

he is obviously going to favor vazquez,probably if arce is doing good on the inside he'll probably break them up too quickly,etc.....i don't like him,to me the best refs are bayless and smoger
