kid is very young, manny could take him out early if he wanted, kid seemed afraid to let his hands go once manny unloaded some combinations

with that said, all he needs is a good trainer, a few more years maturing and could be a world champ, looks like he has the natural ability

i really like jose. he's got all the talent in the world but he's very humble and he's all out hard worker. he's got all the tools to go far. plus he's clearly a very respectful kid from the brief footage i've seen from him interviewing



any 17 year old that throws body punches at manny pacquiao when they are sparring in front of cameras instead of trying to take his head off has poise

I wouldn't say he battered him. In all honesty to me, it was quite clear that Pac wasn't trying his best, which he shouldn't be since it's sparring. Nonetheless, Ben is a very good prospect and looked great in that video considering who he was in there with and his age. Nice video.

If anyone actually watches boxing, they will notice that Ben was gassed a little in a recent fight.

You can't fight like that for a whole 12, especially without getting hit abck VS the big boys.

Too bad Benavidez isn't in the Wildcard anymore. Would've been nice to see how he's improved against Pac.

And it's funny that for awhile now, people are really scraping the bottom when coming up with new things to hate on Pac about.

Benavidez is good. But he's still a kid, and Manny treated him like one.

Four times throughout the video, Jose falls for the same move and each time does almost exactly what Manny wanted him to do.

Manny was clearly just testing some new tricks with this kid, not really going all-out, i think Manny was testing his right hook counter and it did landed everytime he throws them at the kid. And most of the time Manny was just playing around, he threw more than a couple of that patented double punch of him, the one that he threw on Clottey, he was clowning with the kid...

The kid is an early hypejob IMO, I don't know why so many people are going gaga for him. Let the kid do something significant and then praise him, he looked like sh.it in his last fight. For all we know he could get KO'd by some journeyman in his first HBO appearance
