Doesn't matter if it's Shane, Marquez, Berto, Mayweather, etc.

There were pretenders to his throne, usurpers claiming the top spot and Manny is out to prove just how thoroughly devastating he can be. We're talking about a man who broke the face of a guy who had 17 lbs, 5" of height and reach on him... when he was admittedly nowhere close to his best. And you could tell he didn't have that hunger because he let Tony off the hook when he noticed he was on the verge of dying in the ring. 'Boxing is not for killing' I think was the term.

Now you have him 100% focused, stronger/bigger/more ripped than ever and by all accounts from Roach, Ariza, sparring partners, other fighters who've seen him work in camp... he's ****ing **** up like they've never seen before.

So the statement he's making with this Shane is that he doesn't give a **** who you put in front of him, he's going to knock them the **** out and then sing them a song and send them on their way to retirement.

It's too bad the vastly overrated Berto was already exposed by a B-class heartless fighter, otherwise he would've gotten his too like Marquez will in a bit. Notice the trend- everyone that was mentioned as an opponent for him just a few months ago will be dealt with very violently. You complained about him 'ducking' the great Marquez and taking on Shane, fine Marquez will get it too. Then we'll see what the excuses are then when he's sitting on 2 KOs of guys who've never heard the 10 count or seen a towel waived for them.

Then Bradley will be up to bat, rinse and repeat. In the end, Pac will have absolutely destroyed/scared off anyone who was mentioned as a serious opponent for him.

, in the bold stop lying, dude. You must have mixed up with someone else. I've been saying for a while that the JMM-Manny ship has sailed. I've never said he was ducking old, fat Marquez. And I'm sure not looking forward to him fighting old, fat Marquez later this year at 147 pounds, either. But it seems as if you are salivating over Manny beating these guys, enjoy.

Do I really need to bust out all the 'De La Hoya will slaughter tiny Pacquiao', 'Cotto stomps out Pac' (someone bumped that recently) 'Manny will never fight Margarito', etc threads? He plans on fighting until 2013, anyone who wants to get their face rearranged will be obliged.

Best thing Sergio can do for his career is dump his HBO booking agent and get with a real promoter like Arum. History, and the near future, says that's a great way to get a Manny deal done in a matter of days.

No one knows or cares about Sergio outside of boxingscene and a handful of other sites. Guy is an economic liabilty and HBO has yet to release the abysmal numbers for his fight versus the goat herder. Not his fault though since he has a crowd-pleasing style, great looks and personality... just doesn't have the right team behind him. Same with Bradley, but he's most likely jumping ship soon to get his Manny beating next year. Sergio should do the same.

Hey, if he's happy fighting goat herders, MMA rejects, and reality tv fighters at 1,500 seat (most free) Indian Casinos on free HBO and having the numbers be so terrible they don't release them to the public and no one outside of a handful of websites knowing who he is, more power to him.

But I'm sure he's aware that Shane is going to buy himself some solid gold crutches and have money for top notch facial reconstructive surgery after doing 1 mil+ buys in front of 17,000 fans at the MGM. I'm sure Sergio will be watching Pac and Shane on CBS (if he can afford a TV) tomorrow night in primetime and think to himself 'hmmm, I don't want that type of exposure and promotions. I'm good where I am'
