Tyson being in his prime at such a young age, had the ability to basically mold his style however he and his trainers wanted.

Tyson basically molded himself after Dempsey and was obsessed with the man. In his prime he was a Dempsey with a better right hand and more head movement. Devastating to a sleep-walking division. But once Holyfield and Lennox and Bowe started coming through, I think that would have been the end of that if he didn't change his style, with or without Buster Douglas and jail.

I disagree about Tyson having a better right hand. Dempsey's was straighter and shorter. He was known to knock guys out with rights that traveled only 6 inches. Tyson was stronger but Dempsey had better technique with his punches, especially the right.

If Tyson was trying to dance away from you would you try to chase him down? Would you really want to get inside on Tyson? I don't see what Tyson could possibly gain from moving a lot besides longer fights and possibly more losses.
