Dude a Mosley win would kill the biggest fight in boxing history.
Now why would we want that?

Sorry, but I will be rooting for Manny Pacquaio. Boxing needs Mayweather vs Pacquaio.

We been talking about the Floyd -Pac fight for too long now, who knows if it'll ever happen just like that. I think it's more likely to happen if Pacquiao loses to Mosley and then beats him in the rematch. Or if it's a fairly close first fight and Pacquiao wins a split decision or something. But if Pacquiao beats Mosley worse than Mayweather did, I don't think Mayweather will fight him at this point.

Pretty much, as much as I like the underdog...

Perhaps the main reason people want to see Pacquiao and Mayweather fight is that they've both dominated all of their recent opponents. A Pacquiao loss, or even a life-and-death struggle against Mosley, would go some way towards diminishing the anticipation people have for this fight.

Maybe it would diminish the anticipation among the general public, but hardcore fight fans know styles make fights so I'd still want to see the Floyd fight just as much.

Lets say, hypothetically, Pac loses to Mosley in the first fight. He could say he over-trained, got ill before the fight, or a multitude of excuses to lessen the impact of the defeat. If he then soundly beat Mosley in the rematch, and maybe if he even knocked him out or knocked him down (something Floyd couldn't do) it would almost instantly recapture the general public's imagination for the Floyd-Pac fight to roughly the same intensity as before.

Many routes it could go but I think a defeat to Mosley wouldn't hurt the Floyd-Pac fight in the long run, providing Pac can beat Mosley in the rematch..

Its all hypothetical though.. The most likely thing to happen is for Pac to beat Mosley convincingly in the 1st fight.

The biggest fight in history isn't going to happen if Manny wins or loses.

Arum will make sure of that.
