Mosley is a puncher, and I'm sure he knows he is.

He wore Grant gloves in his last 2 fights, why?

Usually, defensive style boxers use Grant for the extra padding and "bigger shield".

I understand that Grant gloves are somewhat a puncher's glove, but not as much as Reyes or Everlast MX.

I really hope Mosley wears Reyes on May 7 just to tighten the gap.

It won't make a difference, seriously what the **** is wrong with people. I don't hear people going on and on about the boots a football player decides to wear or the bat a cricket player decides to use when from my experience those things have a greater impact on performance.

Mosley will get the breaks beaten off of him, the gloves he is wearing won't change that.

He can wear MX reyes glove for all that matters, as long as he shows up in the ring, Doesnt make a difference to the viewing eye.

Well for football it doesn't matter since they aren't kicking each other on the faces and ribs for 12 rounds.

I've tried on and used Reyes 10oz pro fight gloves and 10oz Winning pro fight gloves and the difference between them is like night and day.

With the Reyes, I can seriously feel my knuckles through them. Very thin padding.

With the Winning, the padding on the knuckles is so thick and tough, it makes you realize why they are called pillow gloves.

Imagine the difference of cumulative effects getting hit by the different gloves.

In almost every fight I've seen where Everlast MX gloves (Everlast's version of Reyes) are involved, knockdowns and damage occur so much more often than fights I've seen where fighters are getting hit by Winning gloves (besides Alvarez/Baldomir, lol, that was a huge punch).

In sparring, many people complain about their partners using Cleto Reyes since they are hard and less padded. And they are still 16oz SPARRING gloves, while using headgear. Some gyms don't allow Reyes and Mexican style sparring gloves to be used.

In my sparring experience, I would much rather get hit by a 2 punch combo by more padded gloves than 1 punch by a mexican style sparring glove.

Now imagine the difference of getting hit by the 8oz-10oz pro fight gloves?

maybe Floyd had it in the contracts for them both to use Grant's and Mosley was impressed by them and decided to stick with them against Mora? but to be honest if there was such a big difference in regards to the padding i don't think it would be allowed for both boxers to use different types of gloves.

Agreed. The equipment used in boxing (gloves) directly impact the results of the competition. If gloves didn't matter you wouldn't have mandated glove sizes (depending on statutory /organization requirements) in weight classes.

I can say this, had Mosely landed that over-hand right against Floyd jr. with a reyes cleto glove, it would have been a different outcome.

If Mosely comes with Reyes gloves against Pac? Expect the unexpected. I'm just saying.

I am pretty sure he is in Grant

Mosley is a puncher, and I'm sure he knows he is.

He wore Grant gloves in his last 2 fights, why?
because Grant has him convinced the gloves he are using are special gloves when in reality they are the standard Grant glove

Usually, defensive style boxers use Grant for the extra padding and "bigger shield".
exactly. They have a wider base over the hand and makes the guard bigger

I understand that Grant gloves are somewhat a puncher's glove,
actually they're not especially below say 168.

but not as much as Reyes or Everlast MX.
we tried to get him into the MX but he insisted on the Grant for both Mayweather and Mora and Mora told me Mosley never hurt him

I really hope Mosley wears Reyes on May 7 just to tighten the gap.
I kind of do as well but Mosley has been in love with that Grant glove and seemingly won't budge
