Khan: ‘We’re just waiting for Bradley answer’

WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan has revealed that his proposed fight with WBC and WBO man Timothy Bradley is ready and waiting for the American to sign.

Khan who beat Irishman Paul McCloskey earlier this month to set up a mega unification fight in July told On The Ropes Boxing Radio that he and his US promoters Golden Boy have reached out to Bradley’s camp to make the fight.

‘I’ve spoken to Golden Boy and told them what I want and who I want to fight. They’re pushing the Timothy Bradley fight for me,’ said Khan. ‘I mean HBO wants the fight. I think the whole world wants to see the two best light-welterweights fight each other.’

‘I’ve put my mouth on the line. Now it’s up to Timothy Bradley to take the fight and come back to us really. I’m only 24 and I want to be one of the youngest-ever to unify the division.

‘We are just waiting for the answer from Bradley. A lot of people might say it was Amir not wanting the fight, but it’s me who wants the fight and we’re not getting answers back from Bradley’s team.’

Khan also took the opportunity to compare styles with his fellow champion claiming that a fight between himself and Bradley would be nothing like the ‘bore-fest’ served up in Bradley’s encounter with Devon Alexander.

‘When I fight Bradley everyone will be on the edge of their seats because I bring excitement to the ring and that’s why we sell out arenas in England and have a lot of fans worldwide,’ said Khan.

HBO will have already told them how much they are willing to offer, Khan thinks he can dictate terms to the unified champ and #1 in the division. I guarantee Khan will walk away when Bradley asks for 50/50.

Because Khan like Corrales showed he is able to dig very, very deep and still get the victory, Castillo V Corrales round 10, Maidana V Khan round 10, both happened in the same ring at the same venue. Not only that same height and reach.

Haha, i'm a boxing fan dude not the fan of any one fighter. I like Khan a lot, I think he has tremendous talent. But in no way is he even remotely like Diego Corrales. Diego went to war when he stepped in the ring. Khan goes to survive. Diego didn't have the greatest chin but i'd rate it better then Khans. Diego showed the ability to adjust and even fight the other opponents fight and come out with a win, Khan has not done so yet. Diego stood in there with Castillo and traded bombs, Khan ran from Maidana the second Maidana landed in that 10th round. Those two fights aren't even close man. So to compare the two is ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with you liking Khan at all, but you are definitely reaching with your comparison of those two fighters. Do I like Bradley? Yes, I think he's a good fighter, but I show no partiality to any fighter man, I like boxing period.

You're an idiot if you think Bradley is even going to ask for 50/50. He knows he does not deserve 50/50, because the guy is not popular at all, he brings in NO MONEY.

Bradleys fight against Alexander sold LESS THAN 1000 tickets, the rest were comps and filler. Bradley does not deserve much money for this fight, that ugly mofo should be happy with what he is being offered.

I think Bradley is scared, because if he loses, his career will go down hill fast. If Khan loses, he still has a MULTI YEAR FIGHT DEAL with HBO, and a MASSIVE fanbase in the UK. All Bradley has is his belts, and even then, they guy is a small draw.
