    Win, Loss, Draw

    Izzy Jannazzo 58-35-15

    Vic Dellicurti 38-22-9

    George Martin 32-16-6

    Jimmy McDaniels 40-21-9

    Jimmy Mandell 7-11-0

    Vic Dellicurti 40-28-9 (classic rematch)

    Izzy Jannazzo 63-42-15

    Freddie Flores 18-27-9

    Sidney Miller 11-24-5

    Ossie Harris 38-35-6

    Cecil Hudson 51-19-4

Freddie Wilson 11-24-0 (rematch - I wonder which three people beat Wilson between the first Robinson fight and this one? Must be some ATGs)

    Eddie Finazzo 38-30-5

    Sammy Secreet 30-21-2

Flashy Sebastian 22-15-2 (a Filipino fighter)

Ossie Harris 41-45-6 (a highly anticipated rematch)

If Robinson would fight Pacquiao a day after the weigh in it would be even worse.

Mosley knocks Pac out in his prime. Pac is a very good fighter with all time great match making. Period.

I agree with a lot of this and frankly i just don't understand how anyone else can argue it. The ODLH and SSM that fought each other would decapitate Manny Pacquaio at 147. MP is a fighter that takes chances and gets hit alot.....Margarito hit him quite a bit and he's a plodder. Oscar and SSM all hit much much harder than MP at 147 in their primes and they were also just as fast, it wouldn't go past 7 or 8 rds.

Manny Pacquiao versus Sugar Ray Robinson

          Rafael

Rafael: Pacquiao is an all-time great, but Robinson is, by wide acclimation, the single greatest fighter in boxing history. Period. He was fast. He could punch with both hands. He had one of the best chins ever (he was stopped only once in 202 professional fights). At one point, Robinson was 128-1-2, with the lone defeat coming by decision to future Hall of Famer Jake LaMotta (whom he would ultimately go 5-1 against). And Robinson fought and beat numerous other Hall of Famers as well. It was only late in his career that he began losing more regularly.

Pacquiao has faced many top fighters, but not the all-time greats that Robinson did -- including LaMotta, Henry Armstrong (viewed by many as the second-best fighter of all time), Kid Gavilan and Carmen Basilio. Match a prime welterweight Robinson with Pacquiao at his best at welterweight, and I have to go with Robinson by a mid-rounds knockout. He just had too much of everything. Pacquiao is great. Robinson was the greatest.

          Mulvaney

Mulvaney: Seriously? Robinson was the greatest welterweight -- probably the greatest boxer -- who ever lived. Pacquiao, fabulous as he has been, has fought at welterweight or higher just four times in his career; only two dozen of Robinson's 200 fights were below that weight class. This was a man who lost just one of his first 123 contests, and at 147 pounds he was close to fistic perfection.

Too tall, too fast, too strong, too skilled, too slick on his feet. Robinson spears Pacquiao all night long before dropping and stopping him in the middle rounds.

          Tessitore

Tessitore: Sugar Ray Robinson would box Manny Pacquiao all night long. He would counterpunch with ease. He'd be able to match speed and would have an edge in size. Manny would fall short and lunge for Sugar Ray, who would pick him off. I like Robinson by unanimous decision.

          Kenny

Kenny: Let's just take Robinson out of the equation. At welterweight, he has no peer -- no, not even Pacqauio.

LMAO. The so-called boxing experts have resorted to fantasy fights.

WHos talking about middleweight. Pac would beat SRR at 147. DOnt mention JMM because that was at 135lb. I think Pac would beat SRR because of what Pac has done at 147 and not 135.
Pacs career isnt over yet, hes just beat Margarito. Does he really have to fight Sergio already, who only just became a someone recently.

LOL, I forgot, you guys say Martinez is too fast and big, unlike Margarito who was slow and a bit smaller than Martinez.
FOrs Goshs sake Pac destroyed Margarito, and Sergio lost to Margarito, so what is all the boasting and posturing actually for, and who are you trying to impress.?
Sergios a nobody until recently, so is Pac supposed to fight him already? Why dont floyd fight him first? Pac dont need Sergio right now! WHo knows if he will fight him one day, Pacs not retired yet.

Margarito fight wasnt fair, Margarito was 18lbs heavier. Why wasnt Hatton a fair fight at hattons best weight? Why wasnt clottey fair and everyone else pac fought? Just cos JMM gave Pac a tough fight you consider it fair? Strange logic.

Picture SRL....strength, power, speed and size @ 147, but perhaps better. Robinson was a big WW, he was strong, he had power, speed, chin...he had every tool. He would murk MP. MP can't compete with guys like SRL, SRR and Hearns at 147 because he gets hit and hit often....you cannot get hit often against these guys at 147 and survive, it's not possible.
I saw hearns against SRL and he was terrible. Hardly throws any punches let alone combinations, and his punches travel from miles away. Pac could have a cup of tea and still dodge those hearns punches. Just cos Duran couldnt, laying on the ropes to give Hearns target practice, dont mean Pac couldnt? For a guy whose never been knocked out on the jaw, why would you doubt his ability to take the punches.

I respect the greatness of past athletes but they tend to get too much credit sometimes. Robinson was great but let's not overlook how boxing has evolved and the scientific approach emphasized nowadays from nutrition, training, fighting techniques.

This is just not the Pacquiao-Robinson thing but present against past boxers in general.
