SRR is on another level. Even Ali admits SRR is the alltime #1 fistic legend.
ESPN: Pacquiao would get schooled by Robinson

Pac would have lost to several guys he has already fought if he had fought them when they were prime. Take Robinson out of this argument, because he is so far past Pac its funny. A prime Oscar ****s Pac up. A prime JMM ****ed Pac up twice. A prime Morales KILLS Pac in the ring (even a past his best Erik beat Pac once), MAB beats the **** out of Pac in his prime. Mosley knocks Pac out in his prime. Pac is a very good fighter with all time great match making. Period.Comment

Get real.. nothing has changed. Athletes are worse today, they don't fight as frequent, are only hungry for money and not sport and get fat inbetween fights. Hence the reason why it conditioning is so piss poor in this generation of fighters.Comment

Just to be discussed in a fight againts Robinson is already a compliment for Pacquiao.
Pacquaio's heaviest at the ring was 148. Sugar Ray Robinson was a MIDDLEWEIGHT Champion.
If its p4p fantasy then Pac holds his own. But if they fight based on their real size. Robinson dominates Pacquiao.
If PAC is legit welter he'd be at least 155 to 157lbs fight night
and a 157lbs Pac with the same speed and everything is already a fantasy fighter that can possibly beat Robinson.Comment

Athletes today are usually known for slowing down in teh late rounds. Athletes yesterday went 15 and could probably go 5 more.

Imagine the purses SRR would make today with his skills, charm and show making ability. Pac (or PBF) cant carry SRR shoes!Comment

Leonard would never lost to Camacho if he was prime.
Tyson would never lost to Williams if he was prime.

Pac fought and beat so many prime fighters that a fight againts the Greatest fighter is being discussed. do you realize that?Last edited by miron_lang; 04-27-2011, 10:25 PM.Comment

Robinson won his first 40 fights. Then lost his 41st. Then went undefeated in 90 consecutive fights.
Here are some of Sugar Ray Robinson's opponents during that 90 fight legendary undefeated winning streak: (Notice how bad these records are. Robinson fought most of them during his welterweight prime, before he fought the Turpins, Fullmers, and Basilios).
