Who are some of the boxers that COULD of been great but ended up being not-so-great because of different reasons such as deaths, injuries, jail, etc?

Ike Ibeabuchi- would have been a great spark for the Heavyweight division...
Vladimir Klitchko- an awesome puncher with lots of quick combos and KOs. If it wasnt for the problems surrounding his two losses he would be making the division more exciting... -
Too many I can name. Ike Ibeabuchi is a good one, I think he would've been the heavyweight champ for a long time. Incredible chin, great power & pretty good skills for a big man. Also Tyson if he would've kept his head in the game, I think he might of became the greatest heavyweight of all time.Comment

i wish emanuel augustus' career could have taken a bit of a safer road. he's quite honestly one of my absolute favorite fighters, but he does what's right for the fans to a fault. i wish he had taken more 'safe' fights instead of so god damn many (yet absolutely incredible) wars. if for no other reason than for him to be able to get into a main event, because his garbage record is keeping him away from what i feel is deserved opportunity right now.Comment

Vargas...after tito shattered his chin he was never the same...
Jameel McLine he was big and when he beat Grant ppl made him seem to be the next big thing but he gets stage fright when he steps up on big fightsComment

Joe Mesi would have been entertaining to watch in the Heavies. Salvador Sanchez would have had an awsome carreer, just think about it, if he did not die he would have fought Chacon, Limon, Arguello, Chavez and had a rematch with Benitez.
I agree that if Vargas would have had taken an easier load of fights, and he hadnt had the back injury,he prabobly wouldnt be damaged goods. But he fought the best and never backed down, gotta love him for that.
And if Hatton would fight out of england once in a while and wouldnt be such a wanker id have alot more love for him.Comment
