Froch has beat LHW champion Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, and Abraham he's done enough to be mentioned on any P4P list. Furthermore, his lone loss against Kessler was debatable in a very highly contested fight. I don't understand how people can have Ward on the P4P list but not Froch who has proven himself against better competition. I can't wait to see his fight with the ageless Johnson.
Carl Froch deserves to be on any P4P list

nah, I'm not buying into this one. This forum used to infuriate me with it's underrating of Carl Froch. Before the Abraham fight he was considered a bit of a bum by most on here, respected for his toughness and bravery but not a lot else. The Cobra has always been a big favourite of mine so I defended his corner, but now we have a situation where he is being overrated by the majority. Incredible really on the back of one pretty good win. Don't get me wrong it was probably the best performance of Carl's career and I'm happy he has shown some of the idiots out there that he has good boxing skills and is so much more than just a hard man.
But this p4p talk is crazy. The resume is looking real good and is a lesson to other boxers out there who deny the fans the best match-ups, but p4p is more than that. He has to take his performance to the next level and have a signature win for me to consider him p4p. The only win of that magnitude available is Ward who I consider to be an exceptional boxer and already above Froch in the p4p rankings despite his ****ter resume. However, neither of them, or Lucian Bute for that matter, make it into my top 10. For any of them to enter my top 10 they would have to win the super 6 or in Bute's case beat the winner of the super 6.
It's pretty cool that the Cobra has become a bit of a legend amongst boxing fans though. If anyone deserves it Carl does. You've just got to love the dude.Last edited by deadbeat hero; 04-27-2011, 12:37 PM. -
I agree. Carl Froch should definitely be in the top 10 P4P, somewhere between #8 and #10.
He has wins over Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor, and Abraham. His only loss was a close one to Kessler.Comment

Well to be fair the Kessler fight was pretty even and I wouldn't say he lost more than I would say he just didn't get the thumbs up from the judges.
One more good win and I think he should be up there without any debate but I am picking old man Glen to beat him.Comment
