Terrible idea and I say that as a Guerrero fan. There is no good reason to have a Top 10 lightweight contender (not even a champ) move up two divisions to challenge for a welterweight belt.

If a big fight doesn't present itself for Ortiz, then fight your mandatory, or a rematch with Berto.

For Guerrero, there is more than enough from which to choose at LW and at 140, even with the number of TR-promoted lightweights hovering around him.
