klits were NOT from a comfortable background. they were not poor, but in the relative communist environment "middle class" was still rough living - look at the apartment they grew up in as kids. Then they got lucky because of athletic ability exhibited - they were invited to go to some military/athletic school where russia produces their olympians. they worked for everything themselves thereafter.

MAB was upper middle class in mexican society, and he was law school bound. not rich, but think of families who make between 100 and 200k and that is MAB.

Im guessing Chavez Jr. went to the best private schools in mexico, etc.
