Is Goldennboy Doing Enough For Khan?

First of all we know that Khan had a 3 fight contract deal with GBP and he won all 3 fights and just before beating McCLoskey he resigned with GBP when Oscar gave Khan a new 4 fight contract.

I hate to say it but I dont think GBP is doing as much as they could be doing with Khan, He did get a good fight with Malignaggi and Maidana which got alot of press coverage and the Maidana fight won fight of the year, BUT if you look at the way GBP has been giving ALL the bigger names like Nate Campbell, Berto and Vivian Harris to Ortiz, Morales to Maidana, Marquez to Judah, It seems like Khan is getting a raw deal. When was the last time GBP gave Khan a name like Nate Campbell, Morales, Marquez to fight? NEVER!

Instead its always been Ortiz, The guy who quit like a dog against Maidana and then fought like a lion against Berto, Seems to be a very moody fighter who is not consistent, If Khan recieved a fraction of the hype Ortiz got then Khan would already be PPV in the US. If you look at the way ALexander is promoted by Don King, How Bradley is promoted by Gary Shaw or How Richard Schaefer acts as Ortiz fluffer, I dare say Khan is getting a raw deal!

If he had signed with Top Rank, Khan would be fighting all the Top Rank welterweights in a few fights, Cotto, Margarito, Diaz, etc etc, Not only that he would be fighting eventually in stadiums instead of casinos in Vegas.

Khan just signed a multi year deal with GBP AND HBO. He is guaranteed to get paid and fight on HBO for years even if he loses to Bradley, that is why he is so keen to make the fight happen

GBO have gotten very few fighters this coveted deal with HBO, so they're doing fine by him.

I don't really think the problem is GBP... the problem is his dad and uncles are his managers

Yes they helped him earn over 10 million dollars by age 24, become a household name in the uk, and hooked him up with the trainer considered to be the best, become w world champ, and made it possible for him to get a multi year deal with HBO - something virtually no fighter gets, yup you're right, they're a real problem.

So fights with a past it Cotto and Marg would have been better than a fight with Maidana and Bradley? And gimme a break, they wouldn't match Khan with any of those fighters.

And you also say how Bradley and Alexander are promoted better then Khan, that's just flat out false. GBP is doing well with Khan and they have been putting together meaningful fights, unlike Top Rank.

Two things. If the fight wasn't stopped McCloskey would've been knocked out and the fight wouldn't be so disappointing, Paul was hurt pretty bad right before the cut. Secondly, how are they to know the future? That's a silly complaint. And it was a tune up. Kotelnik, Makignaggi, Maidana, and now Bradley, stop making up **** up in your mind to complain about. No fighter has an exciting fight every time, FACT.
