They should go back to the 8 classes. Clip super and junior sub-classes.

Nah, I think they should have more major boxing organizations elevate IBA, IBO, and WBU to full on legitimate world titles.

I see the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF sometimes corrupted between Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the U.S. Also, sometimes the Japanese buys the WBA and WBC titles when bidding for a vacated title. While Mexicans have an easy time stripping champions of belt (Martinez) and elevating certain champions (WBC Welterweight Emeritus Floyd while Berto is "Regular" champion). The Europeans having a hard time getting title shots that they started the IBO branch. If I look at it closely most of the champions are Europeans in the IBO.

So, where does it leave the Asians and Africans?

Also, if you think about it 6 billion people and we only have 4 champions in one division. And sometimes it is so misrepresented if you look at the Lightweight category most are Mexicans with the exception of Rios (who is still a Mexican-American).

So, if you have 10 boxing organizations it gives a better representation of the world. IBO champions are centralized in Europe. If I have my way, the IBA will be centralized in Asia while the WBU in Africa.

Also, it makes it easier to say who is the best in Asia just look in the IBA, who is the best in Europe Just look in the IBO, who is the best in South America just look in the WBC, North America is WBA, the Caribbeans is WBO, IBF can focus in the Middle East, and WBU in Africa.

Well, that is how I see it. And it will mean a lot too, since it'll be like a Mexican going to Puerto Rico grabbing the WBO strap from an undefeated fighter. And still, the Asian, African, Middle Eastern, and European countries won't be left out since they still have a world boxing establishment. You know, politics destroys boxing but if there are a lot of establishments then you won't see it as much. Same with soccer there are so many leagues, clubs, and whatever that you can never say that those organizations favors who because there are so many of them. If you don't like the soccer league then follow a different one same with boxing you don't like the WBC politics of favoring Mexicans then don't follow it. You are a Puerto Rican, Jamaican, or Trini then follow WBO. Asian follow IBA. Europe follow IBO. Et Cet Tera

The only way to declare a real LINEAL champion is fight for the RING title or have a tournament style 1 fight to the top at the end of the year or like Soccer every 4 years all the champions gather to eliminate each other in 1 year to declare the highlander of them all.

NOTE: My mind is everywhere making this opinion thread.

Having so many weight classes can be a bit annoying, but not near as annoying as the hundreds of alphabet belts out there. Seems like a new one pops up in every fight I watch.
