Vic is still a big name in the division and there fight could had gone either way. Looks like Mares is going to run away from Vic, Mares can fare better in the rematch cause he had a nasty cut early in the fight

Looks like a hater circle jerk going on here:bukkake:

Mares is supposedly scared of vic even though he outworked and edged him out with blood streaming down his face and is waiting to fight Agbeko who easily handled him? Mares has his sights set on the best not the tournament losers.

Id like to hear them mention Donaire as their next target.

Yes, precisely. Vic almost tore him a new ****** and Mares KNOWS he would do it for sure in the rematch!

That's because they don't understand boxing...

Mares isn't scared to fight anyone, it's just that he is in line to take the Bantam weight title and why would he risk a fight with Vic BEFORE he gets that chance?

You would have to be an idiot to do something like that. He will wait for Agbeko to get well and then fight him as he should.

If he wins the title, then he can fight who ever he wants and that includes Vic.

I thought this was a sure thing, something that was already in the books...now it turns out it isn't?? I thought Vic had a deal to fight Mares after he fought Perez. And that no matter what happened in the Perez fight, he had a sure deal to fight Mares.

No Mares was scheduled to fight Agbeko who beat Perez for the finals of this tournament. Mares already beat Vic and imo it was close but clear.

It seems like after watching Darchinyan basically take apart the tough Yonny Perez Saturday night, Mares & his team don't want any part in repeating a fight against Darchinyan..Perez is a good, tough & relentless fighter & Darchinyan made look like anything else but that!! & Perez had gave Mares a hell of a fight in a draw that could have gone either way..& Darchinyan gave Mares all he could handle in a split decision win for Mares & some thought it could have gone Darchinyan's way..Team Mares NOW says that if the Agbeko fight doesn't happen, that hey have OTHER plans & Darchinyan is NOT in those plans!! They definitely think going against Darchinyan is too risky & Darchinyan has a very good chance of derailing Mares & giving him his 1st defeat..I (& I'm pretty sure others) would love to see Darchinyan & Mares go at it again, but unfortunately not his team!!

If Mares goes out and fights weaker comp than i would say you have a valid point but if he goes on to fight Agbeko,Moreno or Donaire then he would have been taking more important fights.
