Ortiz is a quitter, once a quiter always a quiter. What makes me laugh is when he says Maidana is not on his level, maybe when it comes to skills, but when it comes to heart and determination Ortiz is not on Maidana's level!!!
Some one was right a few pages ago when they said that this was the glass age or wood age etc,(but I also disagree on the comment about Cotto being like Khan and Ortiz) I think it the promoters more than the fighters not letting them take these rematches, they do not want their hot prospects getting beat twice in a row by "fighters not on their level" Still if a fighter has any pride or balls they would want to avenge their loss!
These days it is all about who is the easiest fight for the most amount of money. There is a trend being set in this sport now (Mayweather is he master of this trend) "If it don't make dollars it don't make sense" So in other words most fighters take the easy money instead of going to fight the best to prove they are the best.
Off the top of my head here are a list of fighters active now who I think are throw backs and not in it for just the money. Morales, Barrera, Maidana, Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Martinez, Marquez and Johnson.
One thing all these guys also have in common is they will fight anyone anywhere anytime and that is how it should be. Also all these guys fights are always entertaining.
Back on topic. I would love to see this rematch, I think it will be a great fight again. No doubt Ortiz has the skills to out box Maidana for 12 rounds, but I think Ortiz does not have the paitience or pedigree for that. Once Maidana gets off some hard punches it will get messy in there again for both of them but in this sort of fight my money is on Maidana. If Ortiz can stay composed and box then he might win. Which ever way it happens it should be entertaining!Comment

" once a quiter always a quiter "..... is rubbish, plain and simple.
" quitting can become a habit " is more correct, as-is "pain is temporary, but quitting lasts forever".....
Sometimes, a failure can = a template for success.
You know that dark scary place where Maidana dragged Vic ?
He don't find that place too dark and scary no more.
Maidana will get what he wants if he keeps this up, and I will be real interested to hear your run-down when that happens.Comment

Look you are obviously a ball licker of Ortiz, reading your posts you are a fan boy so your biased opinion is the one that dont matter.
When I said once a quiter alwayas a quiter is because no one will ever forget what Ortiz did that night and what did he do??? He QUIT!!! When I look at him the first thought that comes to mind is he QUIT, alot of people probably do definately everyone who watched it live.
If he ever goes to that "dark scary place" as you like to call it, he may not quit again because it would end him but trust me it will always be there in his mind.
Wat do you mean "Maidana will get what he wants if he keeps this up" ? Ortiz is the only one **** talking and putting Maidana down saying he is not on his level and he beat the living **** out of him and made him QUIT
Ortiz is a quitter, many fighters would kill to be in his position and he was prepared to walk away because he was getting hit? Well my friend if you like fighters like this then I pity you!Comment

You called me a fanboy just for making some observations..... well, I am gonna call you a hater for making very few observations and just whining about the past.
Vit quit against Byrd, go call him a worthless quitter
I have my viewpoint, because I am well-aware that scenario will never happen again. You take the opposite approach, but then state that you don't think Vic will quit again either.
I don't even get your point, sounds like a worthless whine to me.
Berto fan maybe ?Comment

Everyone had their chance, now they wanna b1tch and moan ?
If somebody saw Vic as a weak link, then they should have jumped on him.

You have based most of your post on a fallacy..... so, FAIL !!

Maidana will get what he wants if he keeps this up, and I will be real interested to hear your run-down when that happens. If you admit that he may not quit, then stop your whining.

No I am not a Berto fan, I did not care who won that fight, I didnt watch the fight live, the only reason I even watched the fight is because I heard it was a good one.
Ya I said he may not quit again because of what that would mean for him and his career, but that does not mean he won't quit!
I am not whining, your the only one whining when someone says something bad about Ortiz or "Vic" as you like to call him, first name basis, definately a fanboy lol.
At the end of the day Maidana beat that ass and made him quit and nothing you say or do will change that.Comment
