The weight doesn't matter at all.

Pac will still not go above 150 during the night of the fight, whether it's 140 or not. When they fought at 130 Pac was still 143-145 in the ring so it's really not that big of a deal to me.

JMM should look at it as a 140 bout and fight at 138-140ish. It's the only relevant fight since Mayweather is a mystery. Still a huge fight to me. People can play up the first couple of fights as fights JMM should have won. I think the public will buy it. Good ****.

then they should have no problem agreeing to 140, but it's all psychology in the end

, at 147. Clottey, Tony (catchweight), Mosley, and now possibly JMM at 147, all because this dude didn't want his blood to be tested.

This could be a good thing. This would be the first time they work together in quite some time, for any fight.

Since floyd is likely out for the rest of the year, this fight makes sense and it would be nice to see GB & Top Rank work together and maybe patch things up a bit in the process.

The Top Rank-GB war has really been hurting boxing. I would love to see Gamboa vs Chris John, Donaire vs Mares, etc etc etc.

The reason why JMM has no problem agreeing to fight Manny at welterweight is because Manny's offering to put his WBO belt up for stake. JMM wants to be the first Mexican to win titles in four divisions anyway. In my ideal world, Manny would challenge JMM for his lineal title at Lightweight, but that won't happen.

                ----

As for Floyd, he could seriously try to take a tuneup fight this summer before his court date in September. It's not like he's really mentally affected or doing actual work in the meantime. The guy's selling lottery soda and clubbing ffs.

yay! this Mosley fight is a tune up for the great JMM! OMG Pac totally needed 3 tune ups in a row to fight JMM at 147

nuff wit the jokes! lets get real up in dis bytch:

I hope this fight happens at 140! JMM has alot to offer still and Pac's style dont look good against a boxer like Marquez. Pac will struggle IMO, but will eventually win, most likely by knockout IMO.

                  XOXO Sir jabs-a-lot

"Based on this offer, it seems like Pacquiao and Top Rank have no interest in fighting Mayweather, at least this year," Schaefer said. "If they did, I am sure Top Rank would have had language in the offer saying this was the deal unless a Mayweather fight could be secured, but it doesn't say that."
so this confirms my su****ions that arum doesn't want to make floyd vs pac. Arum simply doesn't want to deal with floyd.

It means that when Marquez approaches an offer from any promoter for a new contract, that Golden Balls has the right to "match" the offer. This implies that Golden Balls has the right to SEE any other offer, and say..."well Marquez, if you're thinking of signing with Joe Shmo there, we can give you the same money.... (perhaps even up the offer)

This does not imply that Marquez is obligated to TAKE a Golden Balls offer even if it is a larger sum.
