the statement that was talked about here was one thing only. a statement to floyd jr. meaning this is another fighter manny and floyd will share in the ring and if pac beats mosley more convincingly then floyd did, well then thats a statement right there when they go to the table again trying to put that fight together.
Pac beat Dela-hoya better, he beat Hatton better and it will help if he beat Mosley better then floyd did when they negotiate that fight for that matter ,,well if they even fight.

I’m not knocking the fighters personally, they get in the ring and do their job, whatever. But let’s not pretend this “fight” is anything other than a mass marketing exercise for the Bob Arum gravy train.

Arum would love us to believe that SSM’s got one classic left in him and we should all support this fight, just in case. When in reality, despite of past achievements, it’s likely to be a one sided brutal beating of a one time great but now completely faded man.

Wise words from Pacquiao, going in looking for the KO will spell trouble, concentrate on his boxing and if the opportunity arises then take it.

The thing is he's not even fighting them right after, he waits until they get a little more wear and tear on them then goes after them. The only people fooled by Manny are either ****** and prejudice or not true boxing fans because a true fan would clearly see the BS. You don't fight 7 guys in a row that were coming off HUGE losses by chance. There's a selection process and Manny too is in on it because the fighter has the final word.
