That, to my mind, is a silly way of thinking. It costs money to run even a CITY organization, it cannot be done merely with volunteers. Do you think the Salvation Army is run by volunteers. No, it's run by those who know how to run it, has business hours and those working in it, unless they, maybe , are on welfare, and already have a living, NEED a wage to be able to live. There is probably a PAID staff which organizes their large numbers of volunteers as well.

Imagine what it would be like for a NATIONAL Organization, and a Global operation which is going 24 hours a day, boggles the mind.......

Just impossible, but noble idea. Pro Boxing is performed for MONEY, and it is only fair that the Organization which is keeping things in order and bringing system to the sport so that matters and fights can be properly arranged and categorized, charge a fee. Of course it should be a reasonable fee, yet enough to keep the Sanctioning Body afloat.

What is the need for sanctioning bodies really? Fights happen in spite of them not because of them. Since there are so many of them not one is a real authority, not one is the real champion.

Does a silver emeritus latino WBC interim championship belt clarify or categorize anything in boxing?

Sanctioning bodies don't sell tickets, they don't organize actual events, they don't officiate or judge fights, they never right boxing wrongs, all they do is have a goofy trinket that for whatever reason truly does effect fighters purses.

If their trinket didn't equate to bigger paychecks they would be nothing.
