Berto would lose again. He needs three or four more match ups and needs to stay active. He really needs to work on his fundamentals. Berto does not jab, he doesn't know how to slip or weave punches instead he ducks which is why he is hit behind the head, he's slow on his feet with no bounce, and he holds hoping that applying body weight will drain his opponents punch volume since they have to apply strength resistance which he did not expect the stronger Ortiz to overcome. Berto is 27 years old and there's nothing new you can really teach him. Berto never had time to work on his flaws and time is ticking. If you take the KD's from both fighters out of the fight you will notice Berto got schooled badly. Berto asking for a rematch is a joke. Atleast Ortiz showed improvements prior to the Berto fight. Granit that Ortiz didn't look impressive prior to the Berto fight, but you would see him trying out new things which prepared him for this fight and which helped him develope a new style at 24 years old. I can't picture Berto bouncing in the ring, I can't see Berto snapping a jab, I can't see Berto fighting as a flat target, and I certainly cannot see Berto clinching less than two times per round. Berto's physique and heart were not exposed, but his fighting style was! I bet he doesn't run or jump rope I bet he just gets on the bike and does a crap load of squats...fundamentals get you far.

at 27, berto can still learn a lot. he needs to work on his conditioning and his defence. most important though, he needs to fire his ****** ass brother.

even if he does that, he still wont win the rematch.

Ya know I actually think Berto is a cool guy and very respectful. He needed this reality check, and I'm glad my favorite active fighter gave it to him. Berto can't learn a lot. You can teach him a few things if you don't wanna confuse him. If he just at least moves his head and snaps a jab more it will make a difference, but he would still lose again. He's been smoking with Wiz Khalifa too much if he wants an immediate rematch lol
