Comments Thread For: Garrett Wilson Likely Ends Omar Sheika's Career With Win

The career of Omar Sheika (30-11, 21 KOs) is likely over after Garrett Wilson (9-5-1, 4 KOs) easily won a twelve round unanimous decision in a cruiserweight bout at the Palladium Ballroom at Caesars Atlantic City. The scores were 118-109, 118-109 and 119-108 victory. The fight was a rematch of their fight from last March, where Sheika won by knockout in four. Sheika promised to retire after his last fight, which was a ten round decision loss to light heavyweight Adrian Diaconu in October, but this time he might be ready to pack it in.

I wish Sheika the best for his career after boxing. Omar is a tough guy and was always in exciting matches. He had a lot of natural talent, but the knock on him was always that he lacked discipline in the gym.

A very exciting, wholehearted fighter. He had no business being in the ring at 40 lbs over his natural weight.
