Ortiz needs to fight in LA next against the mandatory, IMO. He quit here in LA and needs to get the hometown crowd back on his bandwagon before getting back to bigger fights. Having a hometown following is extremely important to building a true star and he has alllll the potential to maximize this.

Remember that Ortiz/Maidana was not the main even that night at Staples Center. The main event of Chris John/Juarez 2 was cancelled, but a lot of people still showed up JUST for Ortiz...and we all know what happened.

Pretty sure it won't be Mayweather right away...so whoever it is, Staples Center should be the venue. ffs if Chavez jr is fighting at staples....please bring back Victor

I would like to see Ortiz fight Aydin, Maidana again, then Jones, then Floyd. He still needs to fight an elite WW to earn that shot, and Berto isn't one. But Maidana and Jones can make up for that.
