    Member what happened to Vargas he just got thrown in with Tito bad idea do you think the same will happen with Ortiz?

    Ortiz has 33 pro fights under his belt. How much longer should they string him along? The time to prove himself is now or never.

      But I do think Maidana can still beat him.

      If he gets beat by Marcos again then yes.

      Otherwise there's no one at 147 who really hits that hard.

          Nah I think he has the experience now that Vargas didnt have, plus he seems to know himself better and his confidence level is pretty high because of that last win. He's gonna have ups and downs but he'll stay competitive for a while..
          btw vargas was pretty competitive with tito.. no shame in losing that one!

              Vargas had already fought and beaten Wright, Quartey, and Marquez at that point. He had nowhere else to go but fight Tito or lesser fighters until Oscar was available.

                Thats his managements fault. Should we wait till a fighter has 50 fights under his belt before we put him up against real comp? Last thing we need in this sport is a bunch of JCC Jr's.
