Comments Thread For: Erik Morales: I'm Back on 7/30, Maidana Rematch or 135

In the span of a year, Erik Morales jumped out of retirement and achieved glory. To get his glory, he challenged the views of many experts and asked for the toughest opponents. And for many, at this moment Morales should be celebrating the achievement of his fourth title - the WBA interim super lightweight belt - which the judges on April 9 gave to Argentine boxer Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas.

I think MORALES has to kill too much his body to do 135,he fought great at 140 and i think he can beat JUDAH for the IBF title;the others belts are all in the fight KHAN(WBA) vs BRADLEY(WBO,WBC)!!!DAMN,HE FOUGHT ALL FIGHT WITH ONE EYE VS A MAN WITH DEADLY WEAPONS;ERIK CAN ALSO FIGHT BARRERA FOR GLORY BUT AT 135 HE ****S HIMSELF,NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!

Always was amazed at Morales's ability to look like a dead man at the weigh-ins yet put up a great fight (as he did against Maidana). 135 could be asking too much from his body at this stage though.

              honestly morales should retire.

but if he's gonna fight, he might as well fight maidana so they can give him the fight

Morales-Marquez at 140 is the way to go honestly.
Now that we know Morales has something left in the tank I don't want to see him fight all of his last fights against a contender like Marcos Maidana.

maidana will take him a little more seriously if they ever rematch... and any future opponent he calls out now for that matter, the outlook doesn't look too good. he took a beating on the ropes the majority of the fight but maidana's style allowed him to look good here and there to win fans over, erik should just leave it at that and move on from boxing.
