Ray Robinson has more can victories than Pacquiao has fights.

Same with Duran. Same with Chavez.

Who has Tyson beat? his entire career can be chalked up as being a can beater and losing to the best fighters he fought. so 3-4 marquee fights he lost compared to the 50 others that were against fabricated greatness? LMAO

Don't even get me started on Larry Holmes? LOL

Man old school revisionists love to gobble the nuts of past timers. get over it. every great fighter has tune-up fights. every single one.

Ray Robinson fought in an era where guys commonly at the top level fought 3 times a month,he rematched Jake Lamotta i believe 3 weeks after there initial fight, there were no 4 month training camps like that,Larry Holmes the most underrated of alltime just because you are not familiar with the beast he beat does not mean he did not beat beasts.Mike Tyson i agree his best wins were Ruddock and Spinks, but then again even as a kid i thought Holy was the better fighter.

Wait until a guys career is over before you proclaim someone didn't fight top comp. From the 70s on(modern boxing) very very rarely do you see guys fight 3-4 tough fights in a row, even back to back is rare unless its a rematch.

Top fighters in general outside of HW champs defending their titles) throughout history have fought more often than in recent years.

Up until the mid 80s, there were only two titles in a division (NYSAC and NBA, WBC and WBC), and not all this crazy alphabet nonsense like nowadays. I suppose it was harder to "manufacture greatness" in previous generations but there's always been fighters with managers who pick the right opponents for them, guys who get avoided, champs who fight relatively poor opposition, etc..

Chavez was a great fighter not because of the 87 straight wins, but because he basically beat a who's who of 130-140 during that time period.
