Berto will come back and will come back strong. Theres no doubt in my mind that he took Ortiz lightly, once he got droped in the 1st round he was like "Sh%^". rematch could be FOY but Berto has to fight someone this summer and quit laying around milking it!!

I've always said that fighters like Berto, Tim Bradley, Paul Williams, and Chad Dawson needed a better corner and new trainers. They are basically winning off of ability.Berto didn't seem to have his legs under him from round 1 on. He appeared to be overtrained. His skin even looked funny. That's no excuse because Ortiz still fought a hell of a fight. I think we will see a better Dawson since he has put Manny Stewart in his corner. Bradley has a low KO output because he simply doesn't throw most of his punches correctly. He loops alot of them. That means a new trainer is in order. I hope these guys make their changes fast, or they will end up like Paul Williams and Berto.

Do you understand what inactivity means?
2 fights 1 lasting a round and the other lasting 12.

What, exactly, was he going to do? Maybe he could change the what? He"s on the wheel of life like the rest of us, and if it turned slow, he had to go that speed. maybe he'll turn his little wheel a little faster the next time.

Berto gassed out because all he does is work out his chest and arms. When you have big muscles like that you gain explosiveness in bursts but you gas out much faster. Berto is a front runner and would get destroyed in the later rounds against anyone worth his salt in the ring.

Boxing isn't about looking like a gorilla. Its about hitting and not being hit.

                    Sounds like a neutral perspective.

It could have hurt him going into the fight.

                    We will never know.

We do know that his O is gone, Berto might regain the hunger he loss when he started ducking challenges after the Collazo fight.

Roach is making an excuse for Berto because that's who Pac is gonna fight next. They want you to believe that Berto was inactive and he's really great! So when they sign to fight him you wont question it. This is how you get a fight with Pac. Get your a$$ kicked and you're a front runner for Pac lol. Why else would Roach say this?
