Is there anyone that's a threat to Sergio at MW?

Please............please.............please don't say Pirog because he's just an unproven prospect literally that knocked out another unproven prospect. He looked far from impressive in his last fight as well and Sergio would KO him. I think Sergio should fight Jr. then Pirog if there's no one else, then try to move up to 168 ( but that weight class might be a little too big)

The easy answer is no. Looking through the top ten of that division i'm pressed to find anybody who would even seem like a competitive match.

he's already beat the guys who had shown the most in the division (pavlik and williams)

          it's an awful division.
many of the champions and contenders live and fight exclusively in germany (abraham recently, sturm, sylvester)
you've got guys like marco antonio rubio taking out its blue chip prospects

maravilla is the only thing that division has going for it.
i'm guessing he fights a nobody in his next fight (just going by the proposed opponents, manfredo, rubio, ishida, nick diaz)

and then either looks for a big money ppv catchweight fight against cotto, pacquiao, mayeather for his MW championship belt

or head north and fight some of hte guys coming out of the super six
who are almost all badasses and would be awesome fights

can you imagine how much fun it would be to see this version of sergio martinez take on carl froch, or glen johnson?
sure he'd be small, but his speed would either give them fits or bring out their best stuff

hell, he could even make an andre ward fight fun to watch
or dirrell. he could easily make both of those guy's fight an entertaining fight to outpoint him, with his hand and footspeed

Felix Sturm is never going to test himself it seems. So it has to be Pirog. There's no one for him to fight unless he moves up. I think he should target 168 once the Super Six is over.

pirog would be an interesting fight, I don't care what you say. There isn't anyone else at the moment at 160 so why not? Go ahead and chase JCC jr. or Sturm, neither are going to happen. So that leaves who?

If he refuses to fight Pirog at some point then imo he needs to either leave the division and go down to 154 and campaign there or he could fight big names at 168.

not that I can see. I would like to see him fight Sturm, but I think he handles him pretty easy

No threat at 160 as far as I can see .. the real test are north of the div. At 168 ..there is a few test for him up there like Dirrell,Ward, I think he beats froch and abraham pretty handily, hell even a fight with bika would be pretty good

Right now,Pirog is green, but if there's no one else & people actually believes he can win,why not??Then there's Sturm, who I don't think will take another dangerous fight like Martinez.

But if I were Martinez,I'd seriously try to get Abraham at 164 for some kinda super middleweight title, just saying.
