Yes, you've pinpointed a very silly comment, that is, if he actually made it. I can't see Arum taking it into consideration as he is a far bigger man than that. But, if the contract IS acxtually made and it comes down to the tiny little small print sub clauses, this is when Arum may recall the lack of respect shown him by this young jumped up upstart.

Arum, whether one likes him or nnot, is boxing's premier promoter, and the best ever. Therefore he deserves respect from all, like him or not. And any but a silly child would gve that respect.

As he has often said, his skin is thick enought to shed insults, but in the recent differences with Golden Balls, he asks nothing for himself, but demands an apology for Manny P. in fact he states that it is Manny P. who demands the apology.

Arum put it correctly, that they defamed the character of a man who is a legislator, of world wide fame, and hoping to aspire to the Presidency of his country. It goes FAR beyond boxing. These accusations and slurs, however untrue, have damaged Pacquiao's public persona and will obviously be used against him when voting time comes around again.

""Would YOU vote for a man that the WHOLE WORLD accuses of being an illegal drug user, a coward who needs illegal drugs to help him maim poor helpless opponents........."??? I can see the placard.

I think with one more big win on an HBO PPV, that does let's say 300k or more, Mayweather would give Ortiz a shot, and maybe even Arum too.

If you notice Mayweather's opponents since DLH, except for Hatton, all the opponents have been on PPV before with successful numbers. So I doubt Mayweather would want to fight a guy who has never been on PPV before. HBO should make Ortiz vs Berto on PPV, GBP make a good card like they have been doing lately, and just hope for the best. Bringing a belt to the table is good, it's a start, and 1.5 million viewers on HBO is great. "But what else can you do, can you sell PPVs? Is it only going to be my name[Mayweather or Pacquiao] selling the PPV? Or will your name help me sell this PPV? Let's see what you can do in your own PPV main event Victor"....Then I think this will attract the big fights Ortiz wants.

Other than May, Pac, and Berto II, there's Mosley if he beats Pacquiao. And we all know Mosley would fight Ortiz, he fights anybody, he always has, but the problem is he's now with Top Rank. But if Mosley beats Pacquiao, you better believe he wouldn't be all "talk to my promoter" like Pacquiao, or on vacation like Floyd, Mosley would say he wants Ortiz.
mosley will be fed to mike jones or cintron.

He's not difficult to deal with, it's the ****** ignorant fighters and their greedy managers who make unrealistic demands who cause the problems. Arum doesn't make the contracts anyway, he is only the public face if the company. The contract and negotiation work are done by others who's speciality it is.

Ignorant posters, who's idea about boxing hasn't risen beyond schoolyard scuffles, have no idea as to what goes on in negotiating and vringing a complex contract to fruition.

close.I doubt berto wants a rematch anytime soon.
It wasn't close, 2 knockdowns by each fighter, a back and forth fight after the 6th round. I saw a close fight were the tide turned too many times to not be a close fight.

111-114, 112-114, 110-115 that seems like a close but clear UD for Ortiz to me, not a blow out, dominating win where the fight was never on the table on any point of the fight.

This is the best fight stylewise for Pac. This is the fight that Pac would really look like the #1 P4P fighter. Plus Ortiz being a southpaw makes it even more in Pac's favor. Pac has dominated and KO'd all left hand dominant and southpaw fighters that he fought. I tell you this fight is not goin' to be close.

ortiz will never ever get the pac fight. You forget he was once top rank and left for GBP and Bob eeven filed suit, it was a big hassle and Bob is a vindictive SOB. He is still pissed over that believe it. He will never ever ever allow Victor to fight Pac and make that kind of money off him. Plus, if he happens to beat pac, oh boy and then he would be on top as a part of GBP. No way ever in the world does this fight come off. Vic better focus on money or berto rematch.

If Mosley beats Pacquiao he will be fed to Jones or Cintron? Lol are you crazy, Pacquiao will probably want a rematch depending on how he loses and if not, Mosley will want Ortiz. Jones and Cintron? Lol, Mosley would beat them imo, Mosley is not good in the elite level anymore and he's not good at 154, but c'mon guys like Jones and Cintron, these guys are C level fighters, B- at best. Jones almost lost to a D level fighter in Karrass, and Cintron other than his win over Angulo, he sucks at the top level as well.
